Maria Sazonova is a Physics Major with a Writing and Rhetoric Minor and Russian studies Minor, in the WISE Program. She aspires to become a scientific writer in the future, either STEM-oriented or more leaning towards the social sciences. She looks forward to the valuable experiences Brooklogue grants her with the editorial process, discussing various social topics, and conveying certain social issues and their possible solutions to the public. Outside of Brooklogue, she is involved in Optics Research at the Laser Teaching Center (LTC), a Highlight writer for SBYIR (Stony Brook Young Investigators Review), a writer for RhetComp Blog at SBU, and an editor for the SBU History Journal. In her free time, she obsesses over classical literature (specifically Russian), attempts to write and discuss poetry, hikes with her dog, works on silly art projects, and journals.
