Joan is a freshman at Stony Brook double majoring in Biology and Philosophy, hoping to specialize in neuroscience sometime in the future. She is part of the University Scholars Program, and besides her academic interests, she likes to sketch, write poems, listen to music and do crosswords and play sudoku with her four siblings. In the future, she aspires to attend grad school someday and publish her murder-mystery novel, which has been a work-in-progress for half a year.
